Today I have music for you by Ansolo, also known more famously as Ansel Elgort. That's right boys and girls, Ansel Elgort has entered the world of DJ-ing and electronic music. And he is good. Very good. In fact, Ansel Elgort is so good, that he was invited to play at Electric Zoo Festival in New York. That requires some major talent and I can see why he was chosen for it. Ansolo has some talent! This song is just a remix he has done, and it is one of the most epic things I have ever heard! There is a brilliant use of fading in and out and there is this wicked weaving of the lyrics into the music. This song takes a lot of the original song, but Ansolo twists it so much so that we really only get the main chorus melody. Everything is so uniquely Ansolo and this is a great track to allow you to brace yourself for the wicked world of Ansolo. Today I have some music by one of the coolest DJ duos out there. Disclosure has such a distinct and interesting style, that I would be able to recognize their music pretty easily. This song is off their latest album, and this is one of my favorites by them. This song features the vocals of Lorde, but she does an absolutely amazing job on the song! This song is definitely a seductive one, but in that interesting way that electronic music can be. There is a really dangerous kind of seduction to the song, and I really enjoy that. This is the kind of song you can listen to while chilling out or even get into the groove of the song and dance. No matter what you are doing though, the song still has that bewitching kind of sound to it. What is pretty cool about Disclosure, is that they never really aim to be club artists. Today I have an incredible beautiful song for you by Amber Run.This is a band out of Britain and I won't lie, is one of those bands that you can tell is European. That all comes from the style that their music encompasses. This song has that cloudiness darkness that seems to shroud a lot of English musicians. There is this sense of everything being on grey scale, where everything is some shade of black and white. What makes this band really shine and stand out though, is the vocal harmonies. I haven't  heard anything that is as complex with harmonies except for the work done by Imogen Heap. There is an incredible intricacy to the vocal harmonies and layers that can win over any music listener. There is something euphoric about the way the vocal harmonies work. Today I was lucky enough to be a part of one of the greatest tours in recent musical history. Coldplay is giving it a final run, one last tour before essentially parting ways. This is a sad moment for the musical world. A band that has been creating masterpieces for 20 years now, a band that has brought people from all over the world together in unity, and a band that has touched the hearts and souls of millions. Coldplay is that one band that everyone likes. This is one of the few bands that evolved into something that is not only catchy to hear, but incredibly beautiful and inspirational. An emotional group of musicians, the love and power of their feelings are heard and felt through their music. Today I have some music for you by one of the hottest underground producers in the European scene, SG Lewis. What is kind of ironic, is that I stumbled upon this particular producer because of the featured vocalist on this song. Gallant is the vocal powerhouse of the song, and I recently went on a Gallant binge which turned up this song. But I am honestly really glad that I ended up getting to hear this song because it is pretty stunning. This is the kind of music for all the chill music heads out there, the ones who are looking for something to just jam out to or maybe take with them to more of a club scene. Because of Gallant's collaboration, there is an R&B flavor added to this song. It has been a while since I last posted anything from the world of Bollywood and Hindi music, and since I have had this song stuck in my head for quite some time, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do some blogging on it! So this song is from a movie that recently came out, and is one of those songs that has weirdly caught on in terms of dance moves and popularity. In the Western world, we have songs that teach us how to dougie and how to hit the quan, but in India, this is the kind of dance anthem we get. What I love about Bollywood is that there is no one song that takes the prize for teaching dance moves. People tend to pick and choose the coolest moves form a variety of songs and then bring them all together to create something wickedly sick. Their music has been featured in movies and television shows and has also been featured in some of the biggest movie franchises of the past seven years or so. This song is probably their most popular song and has been remixed quite a few times. This song is one of those transcendent and ethereal kind of electronic songs that drips with longing and pain in a way that you normally don't expect from electronic music.
