White Lies and Explosions In The Sky
Today's song is by a band called White Lies. The tune of this song is brilliant! I really love the heavy bass guitar use. This song has a solid drum line and the guitar line harmonizes with the vocals really well. The singer has a deep voice that kind of reminds me of Marilyn Manson. I absolutely love how the song's tone doesn't match the lyrics. I wouldn't have expected the chorus to be set to the music that it has been set to, but I think the White Lies did a fantastic job of meshing the two. Today's instrumental song of the day is definitely more mellow than the White Lies, but I found it a little while ago and really wanted to post it on here. This song is by a Texan rock group called Explosions in the Sky, which in my opinion, is a pretty sweet name. Explosions in the Sky is one of the very few instrumental rock bands out there.
