The Script and The Shawshank Redemption
Today I have music for you by one of my favorite bands, The Script. I think the thing that really made me fall in love with The Script is their lyrics. I have not heard another band write lyrics quite like The Script does. Each song has so much depth and passion for what they are singing about. These songs have so much meaning to them because they come from a place of understanding and genuine care. A lot of their songs are associated with love and what comes with being in love. However, this song is something completely different from all of the songs that you have heard this year. This song is about the everyday person, the one who struggles and overcomes hurdles to get to where they are going. The chorus lines in the song and the final line are my favorite because they are so powerful but simple.
