The first thing that kind of struck me was how soulful his voice is. Troye Sivan hasn't even hit 20 years old, yet his voice is so incredibly soulful. The first few opening notes kind of blew me away because they just ooze smoothness and sensuality. This song is not meant to be sensual at all, but there is still something almost hungry about the way Troye Sivan sings this. This song is also a surprisingly dark pop anthem. The chillstep vibe does not give away the demons and shadows that seem to haunt the lyrics. This song is completed with a downtempo electronic sound and melancholy lyrics to create this image and feeling as if you are world-weary.
