Rogue Valley and Sufjan Stevens
Today I have music by a band that is quite small by the name Rogue Valley. I can tell you that if it weren't for The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, I would have never heard of this band. Which would be a shame considering that they are absolutely brilliant! Rogue Valley has a very impressive command over working the acoustic guitar while harmonizing a male and female voice, and composing a story that touches the very essence of our being. I think this band is absolutely awe-inspiring. It is very rare that you find an artist that is truly committed to telling a story throughout the album, and having each song be a stage or a chapter in that book. This idea of making each song connect to tell a whole story is something that I find to be incredibly beautiful, creative, original, and just plain genius.
