Rogue Valley and Sufjan Stevens

Today I have music by a band that is quite small by the name Rogue Valley. I can tell you that if it weren't for The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, I would have never heard of this band. Which would be a shame considering that they are absolutely brilliant! Rogue Valley has a very impressive command over working the acoustic guitar while harmonizing a male and female voice, and composing a story that touches the very essence of our being. I think this band is absolutely awe-inspiring. It is very rare that you find an artist that is truly committed to telling a story throughout the album, and having each song be a stage or a chapter in that book. This idea of making each song connect to tell a whole story is something that I find to be incredibly beautiful, creative, original, and just plain genius. To tell a story about the ideas that we as humans try to shut out or ignore, the emotions that we go through on the eternal roller coaster that is life...This is the greatest aspect of music. So thank you Rogue Valley, for creating an impeccably tasteful and meaningful song that we can all connect to. Today's instrumental song is by another phenomenal artist called Sufjan Stevens. This man is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever heard the pleasure of listening to. The use of different chord structures layered on top of each other, along with synthesizers and piano make for beautiful, soulful music. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
