Today I have music for you by a band that really started to take off about 3 years ago. Atlas Genius really came to the forefront with the release of Trojans and then If So. However, this whole album is absolutely brilliant. There is something very unique about their sound and it makes it hard to put them in a single category. And this fact is absolutely amazing because it means that they are able to cater to so many types of listeners. The vocals in this song are very smooth and feature the idea of stretching notes, especially on vowels. This along with almost a 70's or 80's influenced synth and guitar in the background creates a very original sound and an individualistic feel to Atlas Genius. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Cowboys and Aliens. Now to be quite honest, I was not a huge fan of the movie, however, the soundtrack s pretty spot on.
