Smallpools and Passion Pit
Today's song is by a new band called Smallpools. Now when I heard this song, the first thing that came to mind was Passion Pit. Both groups have very similar sounds. But what makes Smallpools different is a greater use of funky guitar sounds and more of an indie sound than pop. All in all, I think this is a great group and I seriously can't wait to hear more music from them! This is just some awesome feel-good music and the melodies are catchy while also having that other worldly feel. As in I can totally imagine myself driving down a highway with either the city lights above me at night or driving towards the Pacific in the sunset.
