David Guetta & Skylar Grey and The Great Gatsby

Today I have a really cool song by David Guetta for you. This song features Skylar Grey and the way the two of these artists work together is incredible. The mix of her sad, lyrical vocals and his energetic beats makes for something great. If anything, they intensify each other. Her vocals leading up to the drop are incredible and the drop itself is just awesome! She has an older soul sound to this song while Guetta provides the more modern energy and electronic sound. This song is just really really good! Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Great Gatsby. I liked this movie, especially since it was one of the few to actually follow the book well. And I can't lie, this is one of my favorite books. Goonrock did an awesome job with this song and I thought it kind of has a similar feel. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

A Flock Of Seagulls and Don Henley

Today I have a song from the 80s which actually has no correlation to the "throwback Thursday" nonsense that seems to be circling the internet. Anyway, this song is by a band out of Liverpool called A Flock Of Seagulls. This song has been featured in a few things, and I have to say, one of my favorite incorporation of this song is in That 70's Show. This song is probably their most famous one, and I can see why. It has that heavy synth appeal and bass that was popular in the 80s. It also has a kind of anthemic feel to the verses and chorus. All in all a good song! Today's instrumental is a really good song, kind of a favorite of mine. This song is by Don Henley and is somewhat popular. I just kind of like the overall feel of this song. It's nice! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
