The Script and The Shawshank Redemption

Today I have music for you by one of my favorite bands, The Script. I think the thing that really made me fall in love with The Script is their lyrics. I have not heard another band write lyrics quite like The Script does. Each song has so much depth and passion for what they are singing about. These songs have so much meaning to them because they come from a place of understanding and genuine care. A lot of their songs are associated with love and what comes with being in love. However, this song is something completely different from all of the songs that you have heard this year. This song is about the everyday person, the one who struggles and overcomes hurdles to get to where they are going. The chorus lines in the song and the final line are my favorite because they are so powerful but simple. When you actually take the time to pay attention to what they are saying, there is depth to their words. And this is what really captivates me. They are able to convey powerful and strong ideas with the simplest of words and phrases. The Script has an incredible and unique way of writing songs and I would change nothing about it. They are too good at what they do for anything to change and I personally  hope that they continue to write moving, inspirational, and true songs. Now this song in particular is one that is more along the lines of inspiration. The music paired with the song is absolutely perfect. The drums play a bigger role in the song, but it serves as the backbone of the song as well. The main guitar line has that uplifting feel to it. There are certain chords guitarists play to evoke certain emotions, and the melody chords used are perfect for evoking feelings of strength and recovery. The Script also has a way of incorporating the piano in the most beautiful ways as well. The piano adds a classic element to the song and part of it adds to the inspirational feel of the song. I really like the video for this song. It gives a visual to the phenomenal audio we get. But this song is still so incredible for how different it is. This song is for the unsung heroes and the people who go through the worst of times but still remain strong. It is for the people who remain optimistic and keep trudging forward even when things seem to be at an all time low. It is hard for me to not like this song and I hope that you all like it as much as I do. Be on the lookout for more music by The Script because they are going to drop a new album soon! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Shawshank Redemption. This movie is also about rising up from the darkness and becoming free and being everything you have ever wanted to be.
