Coldplay

Today I was lucky enough to be a part of one of the greatest tours in recent musical history. Coldplay is giving it a final run, one last tour before essentially parting ways. This is a sad moment for the musical world. A band that has been creating masterpieces for 20 years now, a band that has brought people from all over the world together in unity, and a band that has touched the hearts and souls of millions. Coldplay is that one band that everyone likes. This is one of the few bands that evolved into something that is not only catchy to hear, but incredibly beautiful and inspirational. An emotional group of musicians, the love and power of their feelings are heard and felt through their music. Their style is so unique and easily recognizable, with a vocalist whom no other band has ever been able to copy or replicate. Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. Four men that the musical world should revere and at least respect to the utmost capacity. These are four men who have a wonderful mentality about them, despite all the fame and popularity that has come over the past years. They haven't let that stop them from being the artists they want, creating the music they love, and writing lyrics they feel. Coldplay is one of the greatest bands of our era and is most definitely on the list of greatest bands throughout history. This is a band that has appealed to so many generations and to people all over the world. Their love of their music, fans, and charity are so plainly seen and I have to say that I am a bit devastated to see them go. But I am so incredibly grateful that I got to see them one more time before hanging it up. I am in awe and wonder at how fantastically magical the show was. I have never seen anything like that, never seen anything so incredibly enchanting and vivacious. Everything was full of an infectious energy that emanated from the band itself. The songs were sung the way they were originally released, from their first album to the last. Each word was full of joy and laughter and each lyrics full of the passion of music. I salute Coldplay and all of their breathtaking work. Today, this is a tribute to the greatest band of recent history. From their debut album to their final one, these two songs mark the beginning and ending of an amazing and awing era in music. This is tribute to a band that has helped define and era in music. This is a tribute to the band that has reached out to millions. This is for Coldplay.
