Jack Ü and Apex Rise

Since it is the beginning of the year, I thought I would take the time to bring light to extremely new groups to the game and also look back at some of the greatest songs of 2014. For today's song, I have music for you by the newly popular duo known as Jack Ü. Now, Jack Ü has been around since late 2013, however, they did not gain traction and more popularity till this year, especially towards the end. So, I think it is okay to say that this duo fits in with the music of the month. For those of you who don't know, Jack Ü consists of two incredibly talented DJ's- Skrillex and Diplo. While both of these DJ's have different areas of expertise and production, they have come together as Jack Ü to create music that is out of this world. We get a lot of that trap sound during the drop from Diplo and a the beat style from Skrillex. I do have to say though that this song does lean more towards the Diplo side of the duo which is not a bad thing!  Both of these artists have wicked ideas to bring to the table from each of their genres. When they put their heads together and work together on songs like this, we are left with something that is pretty insane and sick beyond belief. This is a phenomenal single to bring the duo to the forefront of the electronic music scene. Kiesza was a wonderful choice for the vocals because she has a higher voice that is still filed with some wild energy. Her personaltiy shines through her voice and we do get something that is a little rough and frazzled. She has a voice that soars and thrums with energy and excitement which really gets into your own system. Now this sound is simply perfect for a song like this and for music in the style of Jack Ü. There is something rowdy and rampant about this song and I like that. It is has a reigned in freedom to it which sounds like it doesn't make sense but when you hear the song everything will seem to fall into place. Today's instrumentals song is by the artist Apex Rise. This song is hardcore trap and you can clearly hear all the trap influences in this song. You can also hear how the percussion in trap is used heavily in the first song. This song, like many other trap songs, has this nasty sound and great intensity that makes you really feel like an all around bad ass. This is one of the better trap songs that exist out there in the world and I recommend following a good trap artist or station or playlist once you find one. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
