Jus Jack and Tiesto

Image
Today I have such a great, euphoria song for you all by Jus Jack. This song has everything you need for a great trance song-awesome melody, great transitions, and incredible vocals. This does have a Tiesto feel to it, but I really enjoy this song and I was definitely fist pumping in my room and mentally fist pumping in the gym. It is one of those songs that takes you to another state of being which is just the most amazing feel in the world. This is the kind of song that you know will have some wicked remixes and would spend a lot of time being played at clubs and dance venues. This song has this strong festival kind of feel to it, which is always perfect for the summer time jam sessions Jus Jack definitely is a smaller name in the electronic music world, but it s a name that could start to take off, especially if we keep hear anthems like this. Today's instrumental song is by Tiesto and by putting these two songs together, you might hear why I find them having similar styles. This...

PKeys and Rudimental

Image
Today I have some music for you by PKeys. Now I have to be totally honest, this is an artist who is underground enough to make it very hard to find any information on him. Which in a way is really good for him, maintaining the air of mystery and having us want to know more and more. Now this is a song that is a very good house song. What is nice is that it starts out with this beautiful piano and vocal solo, nothing else. The entire opening verse is just the vocals and piano, which already sets the mood of the song to be something that is not super intense, but is something that has a very good energy to it. This is not an overly energetic song, but it is not a relaxed and laid back song either. It is actually pretty cool how the only time the electronic elements come into play is during the chorus of the song. This is pretty different for an electronic song, which is why I am actually hesitant to call this a house song. It is and is not at the same time, and is definitely something I ...

Airlift and East of Eden

Image
Today I have some music for you that comes from the world of Bollywood music. This comes from the movie Airlift, a new movie that is actually worth the time to watch. Unlike most Bollywood movies beforehand, this is a movie that is actually full of substance and is honestly a wonderful story line. This is a movie that is about the real world, the issues and dangers that are seen in the Eastern hemisphere. And for once, this is a Bollywood movie that is not centered on the romance, but on the actual meaning and significance of the movie. Now this song is sung by Arijit Singh, a man with a voice like pure honey. I mean this song is incredibly beautiful and the vocals in the song are just as melodious as the instrumental accompaniment. What I love about songs like this is that they are starting to embrace this wonderful acoustic kind of song, something that is more subdued and raw rather than bustling with energy. This is a song that is lovely and calming, something that makes you feel wa...

KSHMR and DJ Snake

Image
Today I have some new music from the American DJ known as KSHMR. This is a DJ that is often under the radar and doesn't spend much time in the spotlight. But my God is this man an absolute genius and one of the most genuinely original artists I have ever heard from the EDM world. This song is from the debut album he released, which is not just a compilation of songs, but is actually an original score that he composed. Not only that, but the score also comes with an accompanying animation sequence, and tells a vivid and meaningful story. I mean this is a story that has the depth and complexity of the literature read in classrooms. This album is a masterpiece, the obra maestra of the EDM world because of how rich and lush and full of life it is. This is not just a simple fairytale story, but is an album that must be listened to in order to fully understand. I love that so much because KSHMR is able to narrate a genuinely moving and powerful story through the guide of music, the ultim...

The Plain White T's and Danny Elfman

Image
Today I have some interesting music for you by a band whom I never expected to create music like this. The Plain White T's are generally a very sweet sounding band, with more acoustic and guitar oriented music. Their music is more along the lines of contemporary and more of a pop sound. Their most popular radio hits have been romantic ballads accompanied by a guitar and well performed melodies. But this song seems to be much more off the beaten path. Now I guess a precursor to the song is to explain that it was actually created to be a part of the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack. This being said, The Plain White T's had to create a song that was worthy of a Tim Burton film, in other words, something strange and out of the ordinary. And my oh my did they nail it! This song is such a wonderful expression of Tim Burton and his style, making it one of the greatest songs to accompany a movie of this caliber. Alice In Wonderland is a movie about a girl who gets swept into a world of m...

The All American Rejects and Boys Like Girls

Image
Today I have some music that comes from a band that was a beloved during my early teenage years. The All American Rejects was that band that everyone knew and even though people may not have avidly listened or followed the band, people knew at least one song by the band. This was the time when rock and punk bands were all the rage, and I won't lie, there are days when I really miss that time. But this song is one of the most classic songs by The All American Rejects. One of the things that I really enjoy about this band is their lyrics. This is a band that talks about the personal problems of not liking someone, but do so in a some what comedic way. The lyrics aren't poetic masterpieces or enchanting ballads, but are more blunt and straightforward. The All American Rejects are not afraid of saying exactly what they are thinking and, in a way, that is kind of refreshing! Their utter disregard for any kind of lyric beauty is made up for in lyrical honesty. Part of that comedy als...

Paolo Ortelli and The Wanted

Image
Today I have some amazing dance music for you by an artist known as Paolo Ortelli. I hadn't heard of him till recently, and honestly i just stumbled upon him by accident. But I am so glad that I did because this song is absolutely amazing! This is such a vibrant and lively song, one that definitely belongs in clubs and underground dance scenes. This is definitely one of your normal sounding house and EDM songs. The way the song is put together is pretty standard, I won't lie. But the song itself is pretty freaking great! There is this carefree and light heartedness to the song, a kind of feeling that only comes from listening to EDM like this. It is this freeing sense, and this song definitely gives us that sentiment. The production of this song is quite good actually! It isn't super complex or bass heavy, two bonuses. Sometimes you get to hearing songs that have become overrun with bass, or songs that have so many melodies and  harmonies going on that you don't really ...
