Today I have a song for you from a movie that I watched for the first time today. All of my friends consider this Bollywood movie to be a classic, one with very quotable dialogue and those cheesy romantic shenanigans. Jab We Met ended up being a super cute movie, one that made me want hold someone tight and just snuggle. I mean the movie was funny, there were some tears, there were some incredibly sexy moments courtesy of Shahid Kapoor. Even the dance numbers were great! Which brings me to the song of the day. Today I have music for you by Ansolo, also known more famously as Ansel Elgort. That's right boys and girls, Ansel Elgort has entered the world of DJ-ing and electronic music. And he is good. Very good. In fact, Ansel Elgort is so good, that he was invited to play at Electric Zoo Festival in New York. That requires some major talent and I can see why he was chosen for it. Ansolo has some talent! This song is just a remix he has done, and it is one of the most epic things I have ever heard! There is a brilliant use of fading in and out and there is this wicked weaving of the lyrics into the music. This song takes a lot of the original song, but Ansolo twists it so much so that we really only get the main chorus melody. Today I have music for you by a band known as Small Black. This song is a cool and chill song that really takes on the idea of trance and psychedelic music. There is something about this song that really captures your attention. I don't really know what that one thing is and it is so hard to discern when there are lots of amazing things happening in this song. For starters, there is a great correlation of the indie feel this song has with the idea of synthpop. I think the two styles melded very well together and made something entirely new. While still maintaining elements of the indie and synthpop feel, this song took a turn towards more chill style and dream style music. And that, that is one of the greatest things about music. Today's song is by a group that i have not posted about in a very long time. Kids of 88 always seem to amaze me with how different they sound and honestly, how trippy their music can be. This music can take your mind to so many far away places which I find so intriguing and very rare. This song has a great melody and awesome back beat which makes this song rounded and solid. This is just such a unique duo that I can't help but be extremely interested in their music. Today's instrumental song is by Calvin Harris. This song definitely has a video game vibe. Today I have a mashup for you because it has been a ridiculously long time since I put one up. This mashup is of two songs that I absolutely adore. Now who would have thought that Eminem and Adele would make a good duo? I certainly never thought of putting the two artists together, and especially not these songs. I mean both of them have an overlying darkness to them, but they have really different sounds in my opinion. Plus, Eminem is more aggressive and intense, more in your face and intimidating. Adele has a powerful voice, but is more vulnerable and soulful, with a voice that soars. The two artists are so different it is ridiculous! So mad props to the DJ who created this magnificence, DJ Raheem D. There is so much brilliance in the way this song is produced that I can't help but be impressed. Today I have some more electronic music for you! It has been quite some time since I have put any trap music up so that is what you get today. This first song is a remix of a song by The Ninetys. This song is exactly what R&B and rap would sound like if trapped out. Some people may think this is weird but I think this is sick as hell. This song has a chill sound but it also has this really smooth sound to it. The lyrics really aren't important to this song because it is all about the beat for this. I like the way this song is really psychedelic and dark. Darker trap always sounds so much better because it is something you can hang out to all the time. This is just one of those songs that are so nice to chill to and do anything to. This may sound like a lot of low key rap music or R&B music which is really nice.
