Jab We Met and Parachute

Today I have a song for you from a movie that I watched for the first time today. All of my friends consider this Bollywood movie to be a classic, one with very quotable dialogue and those cheesy romantic shenanigans. Jab We Met ended up being a super cute movie, one that made me want hold someone tight and just snuggle. I mean the movie was funny, there were some tears, there were some incredibly sexy moments courtesy of Shahid Kapoor. Even the dance numbers were great! Which brings me to the song of the day. This song is the iconic romantic song for the movie. And for great reason because not only is the song itself really sweet and cute sounding, the lyrics are absolutely adorable. One of the reasons I love speaking Hindi is because of how beautiful of a language it is. Each word has such a heavy meaning, so you can say some of the most thought provoking or intimate things in fewer words. But those feelings don't get lost in translation either. They carry throughout, making sure everyone is able to feel the way the song was intended to make you feel. This song, since it is on the more romantic side, has a very smooth flow to it. Weirdly enough, there isn't much guitar work at all. But the instrumentation of this song is just as beautiful and sweet as the words they accompany. This song actually has a lot more percussion and drum to go with it. But not in a heavy manner whatsoever. This is more of a beat holder, a sound that makes sure we are all on beat. Although it does add a slightly soulful sound to the song, adding a little bit of an R&B twist. But this song has a lot of external factors as well. I mean the orchestra is what drives the melody of the song, other than the vocals. But all of these parts function so well together. I mean this song got me in that really pensive mod. But not in a bad way! It got me to thinking about some of the really great and happy moments in life. This song is just so bubbly and sweet and positive and fun! It is such a great pick me up, or just a great feel good song! It is full of life and the beauty of being in love with someone else. This is the kind of song I walk around to when the weather cools off, the leaves change color, and the sun is setting on the skyscrapers of Austin. And it seems like a weird thing to walk somewhere?.As in actually come upstairs so she is out. But I really do hope you all enjoy this first song! Today's instrumental song is by Parachute, one of my favorite sentimental bands. Not that they are extremely so! They just have perfect lyrics and music to create their music. I will admit, I have cried on their set because we have to be so much to  But Parachute is a band that has gotten me through a lot of emotional heart break and the rough patches in life.
