Spencer Kane and Sugarland
Today I have a really sunny and lovely song for you by an artists known as Spencer Kane. Now this song is actually a cover of a Pentatonix original. Normally it is the a capella group that does the covers, but now we have the opposite happening which is a weirdly nice plot twist.
From the moment the song starts. we are swept away into the adorably romantic and sweet sound, something that is happy and bubbly. The whole song has that really feel-good vibe to it, something which effortlessly shines with a warm brightness. Spencer Kane has a really smooth voice, but there is this nice underlying gravel to it, which kind of makes the whole thing sound complete. He also has quite a mature voice for his age, resonating with deeper octaves compared to the original. But that depth is so suitable for this song and adds envelops us in a sunny and light-hearted mood. He has a smooth falsetto that he transitions into at the end of some lines. Those nice little lilts are simple but perfect ways of creating a bit of vocal dynamism. Spencer Kane makes his voice sound as smooth as honey and as sweet as sugar which is pretty much exactly what a song like this needs.
Everything about this song screams adorable and cutesy, the kind of thing that romantics look forward to. I like how this song has a very pop sound while also playing with some of the more romantic motifs of jazz songs. The subtle, jazzy touch is what gives the song some of that charming and bouncy energy. I just love how fun this song is. This is a track which is meant to emulate the enchanting fun of being in a relationship. It drips in that honeymoon phases emotional high, which is why when we listen to the track, we also feel those emotional highs. Not to mention that this song also has a coffee shop kind of vibe to it, the kind of song that makes you as warm and fuzzy on the inside like hot chocolate on a cold day.
Spencer Kane has this immediate likability with his music, and it makes the music sound so darling. There is a sweet sincerity he has when singing this song as if he really is in love with a girl that leaves him sleepless. And that is what really makes this song so relatable, the ability to feel that same kind of delightful feeling. The track is a catchy and playful bop and is one that I will definitely be found jamming out to, especially on those nice and sunny days.
Today's instrumental song is by Sugarland, and this is another one of those sunny and bright songs. This song is just as cute as the first, only difference being that this song is a little bit older. I have to say this is probably my favorite song by Sugarland. It is just so much fun and so romantically adorable. Even the video for this is hilarious, and I love it! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
