Dominique & Manotett and Cloud Atlas

Today I am taking things back to the chilled out and slower side of music. This song is one that I had on repeat for a while because of how smooth and calming it is. This isn't a very energized and hyped up song. Instead, we get something that is wonderfully chill and perfect for lounging around or just doing your own thing. This song is a synth pop breath of fresh air.

In all honesty, we hear the same pop songs from all corners of media, but with this song, we get something that is such a nice fresh and unique sound. I will say, Dominique's original work with the song is really nice and still has that calmer and more relaxed sound. But Manotett took this song and remixed it, making this a song that is genuinely amazing and perfectly ambient. I would even go so far as to call this song beautiful. It is not one of those songs that is beautiful because of how moving it is. Rather, there is something mystical and a bit magical to the beauty surrounding this song. Kind of like a supernatural beauty that sprinkles itself over the track, creating a song that glows softly.

Manotett takes the original song and transforms it into this lovely masterpiece, something that is sedated and warm to listen to. Sometimes when I listen to this song, I imagine myself slowly swaying to it while being caught in the evening rain. I know, it's pretty specific. However, this song has that really special sound to it that makes you imagine those secret moments of serenity that you wish would happen. This song is one that gets you completely lost in the music. This song allows you to get completely lost in the music in a way that is calming. It is the kind of track which makes everything else fall away until it is just you, the song, and the world around you. You feel the world as if you are just now waking up from a fuzzy dream, and I really love that about this song. It is so wonderfully balanced that we get something that is energetic enough to keep us engaged but chill enough to make us fall into that state of ecstasy.

I do have to say, I prefer this remix by Manotett to the original, but again, that is just my opinion! The way Manotett interprets and produces this remix is completely different from the original, so it would be interesting to see which version people like more. In any case, Manotett has done something that leaves in this state that I always love being in.

Today's instrumental song is one that I will always love. Cloud Atlas was a movie that very few people ended up seeing, but is one that I was mesmerized by. The entire story line of the movie is based on the idea of souls being connected throughout lifetimes, transcending time itself. This concept was so enchantingly conveyed, and I loved every moment of the film. It was also a rather moving film in ways that I hadn't realized a film could be. There are poignancy and wisdom beyond measure, pointing out life in a way that most films never can. This score is genuinely one of the most well done and completely magnetizing scores I have ever heard. I was left completely spellbound by every single piece in this score, especially this one. There is something so simple and pure about the way the piano plinks through the piece. There is so much grace and elegance and beauty and freedom to the sound of this score and composition. The way this song makes my soul feel young and free is something that only music can make me feel. And this score is something I couldn't leave alone! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
