Saad Ramadan and Guy Gerber

Today I have some foreign music for you! It just dawned on me that I haven't posted anything foreign in a very very long time. Saad Ramadan is a Lebanese singer and has quite a following in that part of the world. It is really cool to hear music like this because a lot of think EDM type sounds are limited to just European kinds of groups or artists. But there is an untapped treasure of electronic music to be found in the Middle East. I know I have posted some music from out there, and for good reason. A lot of the EDM found in the Middle East is unlike a lot of music you have probably ever heard. The thing about Middle Eastern electronic songs in that they are rooted in that Eastern European kind of sound, the sounds we get from the likes of Tiesto or Martin Garrix or Armin van Buuren. But they also have this massive twist that is filled with so many Middle Eastern and Arab-specific type sounds. The melodies and harmonies all reflect what the stereotypical Arab sound would be. The thing is though, that it makes for a beautiful and vibrant sound. This song in particular sounds very much like a typical EDM structure. But it is also structured like an Eastern kind of song. First of all, the song features a male and female vocalist, and we are first introduced to the female vocalist. She reminds me a lot of Nadia Ali, which is awesome because I love her. She has a very strong voice in this song and a very powerful and sultry one as well. And then we get to Saad Ramadan's vocals. He has a sweeter and softer kind of voice. His is like the honey to her bee sting. It works so well between the two and I like the way that she gets the verses while he gets the chorus. It makes it a nice split. Along with this song though is a wonderful drop. Not a lot of songs have drops outside of typical EDM, but this one does! And it is wicked awesome. I love the way it drops into a darker kind of sound, something meant for an underground music scene or a night club. I have to say, I am definitely impressed by this song! Today's instrumental song is by Guy Gerber. This is a man who has definitely made some headway in the Israeli DJ scene. Which you should totally check out by the way. The EDM and electronic scene in Israel is absolutely phenomenal! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
