Disciples and Man Of Steel

Today I have some new music for you and hopefully, it will be some good stuff for you guys! This first song is a really smooth and chill remix of a song by OneRepublic. As it is, Ryan Tedder has a phenomenal voice that can pull off so many different sounds and genres. What I love about this is that he unintentionally came up with a song that had the right vibe and sound to it that we were able to get this remix from Disciples. This song has that really chill sound from house music and it almost doesn't even sound like house. It seems to laid back for that! However, I think this remix is really sick. It maintains the elements of OneRepublic song like the vocals, but the melodies in this song have been so perfectly done so that a whole new sound is created. I understand, this is a remix and of course it is a new sound. But Disciples makes this song completely different and the song itself has a totally different melody. How wicked is that?! A lot of times when people do remixes, the majority of the original song remains a major component. However, Disciples keeps the vocalization the same and that is pretty much it. I think that is a great testament to his own musical genius because he had to find a way to make a song that was not only catchy and appealing, but it also had to incorporate music from another song, and a song that isn't exactly an electronic one to begin with. I was really impressed with this song when I first heard it because I couldn't even recognize the song itself but only the vocals as belonging to OneRepublic. There is just so much individuality and creative thought that went into this song and everything about it fits like clockwork. There is the super calm flow to this song that embodies the nature of OneRepublic quite spectacularly. Disciples made a song that I imagine I would be hearing at a club or high-end bar kind of thing, maybe even a hookah bar! It just has that suave feel to it and doesn't take the electronic way over the top. The balance between OneRepublic's rock and soul and Disciples "indie" electronic is simply incredible. Serious kudos to Disciples for remixing a song like this and doing such a swell job. It takes quite a mind to make something like this work while still maintaining a sound that will appeal to a large range of listeners. This song is just sweet! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Man Of Steel. This kind of has a more mellow feel to it, however, there are pockets of energizing inspiration that complete the piece and keep it driving forward. For those of you who have not seen the movie, I recommend watching it. Many people watched it for the action aspect, but when I started watching this, it turned more into a psychological thing. When you really think about what is happening and what the Man of Steel goes through, it makes him more of a human. Watch this movie with the idea of trying to connect to the man, not observe some action scenes. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
