Kygo and Duke Dumont

Today I have new music for you by the pioneer and greatest tropical house artist out there. Kygo is one of those DJs that has maintained such a low key profile despite the fact that his music has blown up all over. I still remember when he was starting out on YouTube and Soundcloud, and we listen to  him now and his music has become such a huge part of people's musical journey. I love that so much about Kygo because he has been able to connect to and touch so many people with his music. One of the things that makes Kygo stand out from a lot of other DJs, is the fact that his musical content is not revolved around sex and alcohol. Kygo is focused on the art of living and loving, keeping things more open and free. This song has such a wonderful sound to, a little bit inspiring and definitely one of those dance tracks that you get lost to. This is a song that I feel with my heart and soul, not just my ears and mind. This song exudes that sense of transcendence, and as you listen to it you feel this soaring independence and freedom. It has this beautiful image of spontaneity and happiness and excitement and life. It makes you see these things, makes you feel them and really understand them. What is nice is that this song doesn't have a festival kind of feel to it. A lot of EDM music that has come out lately or is played in a lot of places, have that super festival vibe to it. They are really energetic and super pumped up. Which isn't a bad thing! But being able to calm things down and chill out to a song like this is always nice. Kygo is such a master of implementing complex melodies and harmonies into his music. I think that can definitely be attributed to the fact that he is a very versatile musician, playing the piano among other instruments. You can actually hear those piano influences in the song, especially with the little nuances in the song that create things like pitch changes and steps. Kygo, simply put, is an artist who brings incredible amounts of creativity to his music, composing songs that are more than just pieces of music but are masterpieces. They make you feel alive, and there is nothing sweeter than that feeling. Today's instrumental song is my favorite song by Duke Dumont. This is another DJ that is kind of just chilling a little bit closer to the underground than on the Ultra stage. But this song also has a super tropical vibe to it, and is one that is really catchy. This is a song that reminds me of tiki torches and nights dancing on the beach, having an amazing time. Duke Dumont is a cool artist because he ranges from music like this to heavier EDM and house sounds. That range is always something I look for in musicians. Having extensive styles of music is only a bonus. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
