MIKA & Ariana Grande and Monsters University

Today I have music for you by an incredible solo artist who goes by the name Mika. This song is one of the earliest to involve Ariana Grande before she became famous and when she sounded like a normal human instead of a child. I know, that is slightly rude but it had to be said. I won't deny her talent, but her old style is much better than her new stuff. Anyway, this is one of favorite songs produced by Mika. This man is a very talented vocalist and I love the type of songs he sings. Yes, they do have that pop feel to it, but it isn't your standard kind of pop. This song is so much fun to listen to because Mika and Ariana Grande harmonize so well together and this range allows the song to be more upbeat and exciting. This song has such a great beat to it and the instrumentation is a mix of pop and jazz and swing which I thought sounded really good. Mika has that very distinct and unique style that fits only him and this song really makes use of that style. The thing about Mika is that each album has a different musical theme. This song and this album runs more along the lines of a peppy beat, colorful and teasing lyrics, and a really catchy tune. Actually, part of this tune is taken from Wicked which I thought was a cool tidbit of information. If this song hit the radio, it would go places very quickly. Why? First off, there is a great message behind the song. It is all about standing up for yourself and being yourself despite what all the bullies in life tell you. Second, the vocals in this song are incredibly amazing. Like I said, Ariana Grande has a lot of talent and when you couple that with the outstanding vocals that Mika possesses, you cannot go wrong. Seriously, these two sound absolutely flawless together and I like this lower range for both of their voices. Third, the instrumentation in this song is just so much fun! Every time I hear this I have to bounce around and jam to this. It is impossible to not jam out to this song because it is just that vivacious. This song is so cute and so awesome in a pop way that is so very different from everything else you hear on the radio. This song is just so freaking good! The music video for this song is also really cute. Everything is steam punk which is one of my favorite themes every because it is really classy and very punk at the same time. I definitely got a little laugh out of this video. Today's instrumental music is from the movie Monster University. Now this song kind of has that poppy jazz to it, but honestly, it is just another fun song to listen to. This one won't make you want to dance but it will definitely get you in a good mood. This is not your smooth chill jazz, but club jazz which is a lot of fun and is very lively. Then again, you have to have a happy song to go with a happy movie! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
