Christoph Kotze and Jason Mraz
Today I have some really cute and sweet music for you by the South African singer-songwriter Christoph Kotze. The first time I heard this song was in a movie called The Road to Your Heart. It was such a sweet movie, one that was easily predictable but still incredibly heart warming. This was the first South African movie I have seen, and the first movie to be spoken completely in Afrikaans. I thought that was super cool, and only enhance the movie to be something beautiful and wonderful. This is a sweet and adorable acoustic song, one that reminds me of some of my comfort artists like John Mayer and Jason Mraz. This song has an overall feel-good vibe to it, making the song something that I really enjoy. While this song does sound like quite a few other songs out there, the thing that sets it apart from the rest is the lyrical content. I just found the words in the song to be very pleasant and endearing. Not to mention, I love how unique and darling the title of the song. It just gives the song a sense of spontaneity and charming flair. Christoph Kotze has such a lovely voice, one that is not easily found, but one that is very intriguing and entrancing. There is something cozy and comforting about his voice, something that makes you feel that air of romance. This is the kind of song that you sing around bonfires on the beach or when its a lovely and sunny day out. This is the kind of song that you hum to yourself when you are doing work, sing to when the moment seizes you, and always smile to. This is a song that really makes use of the guitar, but also has a little bit of that South African percussion to it. That actually gives the song just a dash of reggae, or at least, that is what it sounds like to me. And I love how this is a mix of styles, but still is something that works so cohesively and brilliantly. There are a few artists whose style fits this kind of song perfectly. And those are the artists that are always so happy and carefree! There is this brightness to the song, this sense of positive things and happiness that flourishes throughout. I know that this combination of lyrics and instrumentals is what makes this song the sweet piece that it is. When you put a gentle voice like Christoph Kotze's with the acoustic guitar and soft percussion beats, you can only get a song that is so genuinely free and happy to be cute. This has to be my favorite song from that movie's soundtrack, and has actually been a song that has been on my mind for a while now because of how wonderful it makes me feel. Today's instrumental song is a rendition of a song by Jason Mraz. This is a very recognizable song, that is for sure. But it also has that really cute atmosphere to it. Sometimes songs like this are so hard to talk about because of how wondefully adorable and happy they are. These are songs to be expereinced! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
