Too Far Moon and Ludwig van Beethoven

Today I have some darker, more moving music for you. Both songs today are very piano heavy, relying mainly on those graceful notes to convey so much emotion. This song is by solo artist Too Far Moon. Music like this is the kind of music that leaves you completely speechless. There is a heavenly allure to the song, and when you listen to the song, you don't want to break that silence. You don't want to let go of how that song pierced an arrow through your soul, and breaking that silence would be like pulling that arrow out. This is one of those songs that bypasses your mind and goes straight for your heart and soul. Too Far Moon writes the lyrics and produces all of his music, and the fact that he created a song as spectacular and heart wrenching as this is a bit bittersweet. Sweet in the sense that we are able to hear something that is so full of emotion and life. Bitter in the sense that he must have gone through something utterly heart shattering to write this work of art. What is so lovely about this song is that there is a simplicity to it that cannot be shaken. I mean it is just him and his piano doing most of the work. And the piano sounds so exquisite against the more ethereal vocals of Too Far Moon. Personally, I feel like there is something more passionate and stirring and tear jerking about playing the piano while singing. There is an indescribable rawness to the way everything sounds. It is completely genuine and from that part in you that makes you hold all of your deepest emotions. Too Far Moon really got to me with this song, and it is one that still leaves me in a lapse of comforting silence.Today's instrumental was a suggestion from a friend of mine. He decided that Beethoven would be a nice little plot twist when compared to the music I normally post. And I completely agree! Beethoven is one of those wonderfully classic artists, one of those spectacularly brilliant composers whose music is food for the soul. This composition is definitely more melancholy and dark, but there is this haunting beauty to it that keeps us entranced and spellbound. I couldn't bring myself to change songs or listen to anything else because of how eerily captivating the piece is. There is a vulnerably dark beauty to the piece, something that sings of hopeful moments amidst a emotional hurricane. There is so much emotion and passion poured into this performance, that you can feel every note being played. That is one of the most wonderful and magical things about music. You don't need lyrics to really understand the piece. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
