Shy Girls and Explosions in the Sky

Today I have music for you by an artist out of Portland who goes by the name Shy Girls. This song is definitely one that I can listen to a lot. It has that calm electronic feel but it also has elements of a rock band. To be honest, I was greatly reminded of The 1975 when I first heard this song. Many characteristics of this song are similar to The 1975 and follow the styles of genres such as power pop and indie rock. There is a good balance between the two of them, falling a little bit more on the indie side in terms of overall sound, but it falls more on the electronic side in terms of producing the song and which sounds are most prominent. It is very interesting how we get the best of both worlds in such a way to where things are perfectly balanced but also unbalanced at the same time. It takes immense skill to be able to make something like that and I can't help but notice the impressive nature of the making of this song. I also kind of like the minimization and softening of the vocals. I know this song needs vocals, but this has just enough to make the song work and does not overuse vocals to make it the main attraction. It is apparent with this song that Shy Girls is more focused on the instrumental and subtle music behind the song rather than overlaying a heavy vocal track. This song is so easy on the ears but holds a lot of depth when the song connects to the mind. It has that aura, or vibe, to it that makes you want to be calmer and more in the moment. Brilliant song creation, production, and just an amazingly beautiful sound! Today's instrumental song is by the group known as Explosions in the Sky. Now these guys are solely instrumentalists which is something kind of rare and unique to this world of music. This song in particular is heavier on the rock and guitar side of things, however, the vibes we get from this song is similar to the first. They both have this feeling of calm strength and a soothing sound. This group is one that never seems to disappoint and there is always a song by Explosions in the Sky for every occasion.
