Kush Electricity and Chris Brown

Today I have another remix for you all. This song is originally by one of my favorite R&B singers ever, Trey Songz. This is a guy who has some provocative and sexy songs and I absolutely love that. Sometimes when I think about how much I love songs like that, it makes me chuckle. But this song originally is one that people have been able to dance to and have a really good time with. Trey Songz has a silky voice that can really get you into a more seductive mood. He is the kind of singer that you automatically associate things like sensuality and intimacy with because of how we works his voice with the music. This song on its own is one of those songs that you can really get down to, no matter where you are. But this remixed version takes the song into a different direction. This version of the song gives us something more club worthy, something with more of a fast paced beat. Even though that is the case though, we still get that inherent R&B nature and feel to the song. During the verses, we get that lovely touch of Trey Songz. But everything else about this song kind of changes the way we hear and interpret the song. With this version, we get something with a heavier and more intense drop amongst a few other things. For example, the snare beat in this version is more heavily pronounced, the electronic chorus is something that has a lot more vocal mixing, and the programmed music has a more robotic sound to it. It is actually kind of interesting to hear how this song was remixed because Kush Electricity keeps the slow jam feel of the song but takes the sexiness out of the equation and turns the song into something more suitable for a club. It is a different take on the song and is a really sick way of revamping the song into something totally different. Not many artists take that risk, and I have to say, Kush Electricity did a pretty nice job of it! Today's instrumental song is by Chris Brown, and is quite the throwback. I haven't heard this song in a long time, so when I did, you can imagine how hard I was jamming out. This is one of the earliest hits Chris Brown had, and I think a lot of us can remember why. This song was catchy and dark and like one of those rebellious things we draw towards. So here is to looking back at the old days! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
