Nat King Cole & Natalie King Cole and Eat, Pray, Love

Today I have some slower music for you, from the world of divine class and swoon worthy vocals. Nat King Cole is one of the greatest swing and jazz singers of all time. His daughter Natalie Cole is equally as spellbinding and captivating. The thing about Nat King Cole's music is that it is incredibly enchanting. His voice is so rich and smooth, with a beautiful touch of gentleness. Nat King Cole's music is that which captures the essence of what a true gentleman is supposed to be like. I know that is a little bit strange of me to say, but as someone who enjoys that older and more romantic era, songs like this are absolutely lovely to me. I can't help but want to listen to these songs under a beautiful moonlit sky, or with the soft glow of fairy tale lights against the dark backdrop of the sky. It is kind of funny because I went to a cafe today that is nestled on the edge of a lake, with beautiful trees around it and the wide expanse of a hill on the horizon. And naturally, I couldn't listen to anything else other than music like this. That sweet and romantic and slower swing music that seems to melt hearts. I guess that explains why I decided to post this song! But Nat King Cole exudes so much command and power with his voice while still sounding very smooth and effortless. The way he sings is precise enough to make us feel calmer and more relaxed and just pure enjoyment. Out of all the swing singers out there, Nat King Cole is tied for first place. The way he sings is so passionate and meaningful in a way that some singers aren't able to convey. Nat King Cole and Natalie King Cole are by far one of the greatest duos I have ever heard. Both of their voices compliment each other in a way that is like clock work. Nat King Cole has a deeper and richer tone which is complimented by the higher and sweeter voice of Natalie King Cole. Her voice is definitely on the higher end of the spectrum, but it isn't an annoyingly high voice. Hers is that beautiful kind of pitch that is absolutely soothing and very romantic. Both of these singers together provide a beautiful and romantic atmosphere and it is simply perfect. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Eat, Pray, Love. Now this movie seemed to get mixed review, but I kind of liked it! I want to be able to travel to different places and just be in the moment. Enjoy the place that I am immersed in and just live for the time. This is a very interesting movie score because it takes elements of music from the different places she visits. This particular piece is more of a slow jazz jam which is always nice to listen to. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
