Mohombi and Don Omar

Today I have some music for you by Mohombi. This song is just so damn catchy. This is one of those songs that makes you want to get up and dance. This song has an infectious energy to and it won't let you sit still. Mohombi has taken a great Latin and hip hop mix to make this song what it is. I think what makes this song even cooler for me is the fact that Mohombi is actually from Sweden, and this song could technically be classified as Swedish. That's right, I bet you didn't see that coming. But Mohombi is from Europe and more importantly, Sweden which adds this plot twist. Mohombi takes on those Latin and afrobeat and hip hop styled beats and is able to even nail down the accent when singing which makes this song sound absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, I think that in this song there is a very fine blend between Latin American and afrobeat sounds to the point where it can be a bit difficult to distinguish between the two. This song is such a great dancehall anthem which is great because it has a good mix between that pop and electronic feel. This song is definitely more about the singing, pop, and almost soul-like vocalization. Mohombi has quite the vocal repertoire, winning an African Grammy and being an all around R&B superstar in North Africa. Mohombi has a silky and charming voice that is very sweet. But then when you get to the chorus, we get something that is a little bit more animalistic and rough and sexy. This song has some sexy aspects from two different vocal styles. One is a little bit more aggressive and the other is more sensual and soft and gentle. Either way, both of these work really well. The instrumental music in the background is so catchy and fun. A lot of it is about the beats used which makes this song have that great energy to it. However, the whole song in general just simmers in this energy and it is absolutely fantastic. Today's instrumental song is by Latin artist Don Omar. This is probably one of his most famous songs to date. When you hear this song, it might be a little bit more clear as to why I characterized part of the first song to have Latin influence. There are definite similarities between the two. This song however has a great energy to it as well. This is another one of those great dance songs, but what is kind of cool about this song is that it mixes modern electronic with a more traditional style of Latin music. Don Omar is a king of that in my opinion. Both of these songs are so much fun and I will be dancing the night away to music like this. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
