Michael Buble and Dean Martin

Today I have music for you by one of my favorite solo artists ever, Michael Buble. I am keeping this post a little bit shorter because I feel like everything that can be said about Michael Buble is in the way he sings. He sings with energy and passion, and his songs are so vivacious. This song is one of those really fun ones that takes a modern twist on big band and swing. What I love about this godsend is that he is talented not only in the singing department, but in performing as well. He knows how to entertain while he sings and he also knows how to effectively make some groovy music. When you listen to music like this, you can't help but want to get up and dance or sway and snap. This is one of those songs that really gets you on your feet and for good reason. Michael Buble sings this song with so much energy and the tune in general is very fun. This is one of those swing songs that really gets you feeling good and excited. Today's instrumental song is  a version of one of Dean Martin's most famous songs. This is one of my favorites by him as well. Today I have music that is all about feeling good no matter what. Even in the freezing cold, songs like this can still warm you up. Today's song is a really cool one out of South Africa by the band Kongos. There are so many awesome things happening in this song. For example the first sounds you hear is this really sick accordion work, and yes, these guys made the accordion look even cooler than any other musician out there has. I love the way they use the accordion and the tone of it. And then you hit the chorus which has these really strong vocals and you get the feel from the multiple voices with these sweet guitar licks and such a loud presence with the electric guitar. This song just kicks some major ass! Today's song is by the Beastie Boys, and is one of my favorite songs by them. Ima Robot and Tame Impala

Today I have a song for you by the band known as Ima Robot. Many of you will recognize this song because it is used in the show Suits. Disclaimer, Suits is a wonderfully fantastic show and I highly recommend you go watch it. Anyway, this song has a really cool and suave feel to it. It has that artsy urban grunge to it which I really like. It is a different way of performing rock music and takes you back to the 90's style of music. This song has a really cool charm to it because a lot of the song falls on the support of the bass guitar over the drums. The bass guitar serves as a secondary percussion to the rest of the instrumentals. It is actually kind of awesome how simple the instruments are in this song because when you bring the together you hear a really sick song. The main instruments are of course the bass guitar, tambourine, drums, and keyboard. Nothing else makes an appearance and I like it that way. The music in this song is so structured but so laid back at the same time.

Zayn Malik and Interstellar

Today I wanted to give a shout out to an artist who is both very famous and very underground. Most people know him as Zayn Malik, that guy who was in One Direction but left the band. So a little background, Zayn Malik was one of the five members of the famous boy band, One Direction. His departure from the band was all over the news last year, and I wont' lie, I felt bad for him. Not because he left the band, but because of what that meant for him in the public eye. It marked him as a huge target for papparzi and press, and I just feel so bad for him because he had to live in that public eye for so long. Which is one of the reasons why he wanted to leave. To live his life more quietly. So that of course, is a consequence of his level of fame. But on the other hand, we have his more quiet and surprising side.
