Ansolo and Nicky Romero

Today I have music for you by Ansolo, also known more famously as Ansel Elgort. That's right boys and girls, Ansel Elgort has entered the world of DJ-ing and electronic music. And he is good. Very good. In fact, Ansel Elgort is so good, that he was invited to play at Electric Zoo Festival in New York. That requires some major talent and I can see why he was chosen for it. Ansolo has some talent! This song is just a remix he has done, and it is one of the most epic things I have ever heard! There is a brilliant use of fading in and out and there is this wicked weaving of the lyrics into the music. This song takes a lot of the original song, but Ansolo twists it so much so that we really only get the main chorus melody. Everything is so uniquely Ansolo and this is a great track to allow you to brace yourself for the wicked world of Ansolo. Most of his work right now is remixing songs, but he has some sick live sets as well. But Ansolo likes to focus on the heavier, more intense side of electronic music. But it is so awesome because while making things intense, he keeps away from the video game noises. This is such a great thing because I personally am not a fan of that kind of addition to songs. Ansolo is one of those artists who keeps the integrity of the song while remixing the song at the same time. All of is remixes sound so different and have completely different styles to them, and I find this both incredible and rare. For a lot of DJ's, the remixes they do all have similar styles of being done, usually with the verses being autotuned and changed and then a climactic bass drop. But Ansolo seems to take a long time perfecting each remix so that they sound differrent. To be honest, each remix sounds like it could have been done by different DJ's, and that is something truly special. I can't wait till he decides to drop an album with his own original mixes because quite frankly I am very intrigued. Today I have some music for you by Nicky Romero. It seems that Ansolo and Nicky Romero are pretty good friends and they work very well together. Nicky Romero is a really awesome DJ and he has really energetic approach to music. What I love about this song is the slightly sinister sound it has, especially during the buildup. Of course, the drop is wicked as hell and you get this sound that you either head bang furiously to or go batshit crazy. Either response is appropriate for a song like this and of this caliber. Another sick part of this song is the use of string sounds. Nicky Romero uses the violin to create this elegant sound that turns into this explosive and crazy sound. I love when DJ's incorporate instruments that mark the most classical of all music into the most modern point of music. It is such an amazing way to bridge the two eras together, and Nicky Romero does so in one of the sickest ways ever with this song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
