Flume & Chet Faker and Prince Of Persia

Today I have some really chill music for you. Flume is an absolute pro when it comes to making songs like this. I have yet to find an artist who can do this better. There is an effortless ease to which Flume can make music like this, music which gets you to a different state of being. The things about Flume is that he falls on a wide range of music genres and therefore, his music can be appreciated by all. While this does fall on the chill side of things, it still has this kind of energy that gets you moving around some. What I really enjoy about this song is that it retains the electronic nature of Flume while not incorporating a drop. For an electronic song of any kind, the lack of a drop is rare. It seems to me that a lot of people only pay attention to the drop and this song forces you to really listen and feel the music. Everything about this song is suave and smooth, even the vocals. I am a huge fan of Chet Faker. Everything he does sounds so good because he is able to get into a raspy sound and then gritty and then he pulls out his falsetto. His style of singing and music fits in very well with this song. With theses two artists, you don't feel closed in and smothered by the music. Sometimes with electronic music, it goes overboard and not only does the song not sound as good, but it makes you feel trapped. There is literally a wall of sound that keeps you enclosed. But this song has a freedom and flow to it as if you were riding on the sound waves. You kind of begin to become one with the music which is awesome. The instrumentals in the background are really amazing. There isn't too much nor is there too little to make anything. It has just enough bass to make the song bump a little and it has the right length of sustained notes to smooth the song out and broaden the sound. I definitely applaud Flume on his skills as a producer and DJ because I have yet to find a song of his that I am not a fan of. And of course Chet Faker has some of the most incredible vocals. His voice is so beautiful and calming and soothing. A perfect duo! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Prince Of Persia: The Sands of Time. I for one enjoyed this movie. But then again, I love movies set in ancient times. This has somewhat of a chilled out vibe to it during certain motifs. However, this song captures the Eastern style of chill out music which is what most people would think of. I love this movies score because it does incorporate a lot of Eastern styles and instruments. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
