Enrique Iglesias & Romeo Santos and P.S. I Love You

Today I have some Latin music after a long time of not posting anything that sounds traditionally Latin. I heard this song a completely fell in love with it. While the song meaning is melancholy, the song itself is so beautiful and romantic sounding because it has that sweet traditional guitar and rhythm of Latin music. Latin music is very lovely and the lyrics are always about love and are very romantic even in sad songs. The way that bachata makes everything sound so kind and warm is just amazing. What is great about bachata is that it can be something very energizing or it can be like this song, something so intimate and charming. This song is a brilliant collaboration done by Enrique Iglesias and Romeo Santos. Both of these artists are phenomenal singers and they sound so wonderful together. What is really cool about this is that Enrique Iglesias is a Spaniard and Romeo Santos's blood is from Central America. You can hear the different and distinct styles with which each singer brings. Romeo Santos is a bachata singer and this is his style of music. For Enrique Iglesias, the romantic nature of the song is nothing new, but the heavy presence of guitar work as the main melody is a little bit new. The balance between the voices themselves is great. Romeo Santos brings a little bit more of the energy and brightness whereas Enrique Iglesias brings the softness and sexy accent we hear. While both of them do sound sweet and tender, Romeo Santos has a different tonality to his voice. Romeo Santos has a higher pitched voice and there is something very unique to his sound. Enrique has a slight rasp to his voice and that makes this song so incredibly beautiful. When the two sing together in the chorus, the really do sound like one voice which is very hard to accomplish with singers of such different sounds. Both artists have a call and response styled interaction in parts of this song which is just gorgeous. The response is small but so smooth and romantic. The instrumental background makes this song as perfect as it is. The guitar work in this song is phenomenal and it really captures the passionate nature of being in love while also conveying the soft intimacy that has to be there. The rhythm work was done masterfully on the bongos. The bongos are very soft in this song and don't stand out as much as the vocals and guitar. This provides a great foundation for the guitar because it serves as a harmony and alternate melody at the same time. This song is just so incredibly amazing and beautiful and passionate and intimate and everything you could ever want from a romantic song. Today's instrumental song is from the movie P.S. I Love You. This song is so cute and sweet and is just so soothing. There is elegant guitar work in this song as well and everything about this song oozes romance and love. This song is just so sweet! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
