Rock Mafia and Katy Tiz

Today I have music by the group called Rock Mafia. This might be one of their most famous songs, but I can see why. I love this song so much! Here is the cool thing though. Rock Mafia actually started as song writers and producers for some big names in the industry. They have worked with so many different types of artists, across a spectrum of genres. Now this song in particular is an absolutely phenomenal song because it relies heavily on the drum and vocals to make the song. The guitar serves as filler noise instead of being the main sound, which is very unique to music in general. Usually, the guitar is a key component to songs like this, however, its minimal part in the song makes this song even better. We can really focus on the feel the drums give along with the incredible vocals. In case you don't know, this is a guy singing the entire song and I absolutely love his voice. It has a very nice tone and sound to it, slightly higher with a smoother and more connected sound. But there is this lovely grit underneath the beautiful voice. Now today's second song is a cover of the first song. I honestly can't decide which version I like better. Katy Tiz has done an incredible rendition of the song despite what many others believe. The point of her cover was to put a different spin to a song that has a darker feel to it. She gives it more of a guitar push with a little more instrumentation behind it.
