Adrian Lux and Oblivion

Today I have a song for you by an electronic artist that I am absolutely in love with. Adrian Lux has such an incredible sound to his music. There is always a certain feeling that he evokes with the melodies and harmonies within the song. This song is particular has a darker energy to it, but it is one of those songs that makes you want to explore the darker depths. The first time I heard this song was actually on Teen Wolf. I don't quite remember when they used this song, but I can clearly imagine what kind of scene they would have used this song for. It makes me think of either a dance or when something intense is about to happen. I personally find this an awesome song to workout to, especially running. It has that deep thrum that forces you onwards. Today's instrumental song comes from the movie Oblivion. I have to say, this soundtrack truly is a masterpiece. Today's song is a really cool one out of South Africa by the band Kongos. There are so many awesome things happening in this song. For example the first sounds you hear is this really sick accordion work, and yes, these guys made the accordion look even cooler than any other musician out there has. I love the way they use the accordion and the tone of it. And then you hit the chorus which has these really strong vocals and you get the feel from the multiple voices with these sweet guitar licks and such a loud presence with the electric guitar. This song just kicks some major ass! Today's song is by the Beastie Boys, and is one of my favorite songs by them. Zayn Malik and Interstellar

Today I wanted to give a shout out to an artist who is both very famous and very underground. Most people know him as Zayn Malik, that guy who was in One Direction but left the band. So a little background, Zayn Malik was one of the five members of the famous boy band, One Direction. His departure from the band was all over the news last year, and I wont' lie, I felt bad for him. Not because he left the band, but because of what that meant for him in the public eye. It marked him as a huge target for papparzi and press, and I just feel so bad for him because he had to live in that public eye for so long. Which is one of the reasons why he wanted to leave. To live his life more quietly. So that of course, is a consequence of his level of fame. But on the other hand, we have his more quiet and surprising side. Hello, hello! It has been quite a while since I last dropped a post on the blog. I want to go ahead and send a huge shout out to everyone who has been patient with me, and the more sporadic nature of my writing.
