Today's song is Daft Punk's newly released single! As in, it was released at 12:01 this morning! And it is sooooo good!! This song has Daft Punk's old disco-tek type beats, but they mashed it up with a soul and R&B sound. This song portrays the classic sound of Daft Punk's music magic and I am so excited when they release their new album (after 8 years!) on May 21! Today's instrumental song is by a group called Soulwax. This song is more acid house than French house This song has an interesting beat and mix of a little rock into the music. Today I have some music for you by Tritonal and Paris Blohm. Both of these artists are forces to be reckoned with. They may be considered "new blood" in the world of electronic music, but these two definitely belong up there. This song is so incredibly wicked! This song was just so well produced and it has some of the sickest elements I have heard in a very long time. The opening of this song starts calmly and with a piano but then it turns into such a pumped up song. When people see video clips of electronic concert goers jumping and dancing and having a wild time, this song is something that could be playing in the background. Today I have music for you by the DJ known as Felix Cartal. I love the way this song sounds because it has a really good beat and the hook melody is extremely catchy. The drops are on point and the rhythm is one that you can have fun with, dancing or just kind of going crazy. I think these vocals are actually perfect for this song and I love how there is a point when they throw the beat down on a piano. I absolutely love the buildups in this song. They are long enough to create intensity but too long to where you get bored of it. This is a very well put together song in my opinion. Today's instrumental song is by the talented Wolfgang Gartner. This song is pretty interesting because it has a pretty intense feel to it. Willie Nelson and The Assassination of Jesse James

Today I have a cover of an incredibly famous song by another extremely famous artist. Willie Nelson has done a very beautiful rendition of one of Coldplay's best songs. This song was done for the movie The Judge, and it fits splendidly with the entire mood and tone and essence of the movie. What I love about this cover is that it sounds absolutely nothing like the original song. Willie Nelson is able to convey that same sentiment in a way that is completely different from the way the original song was done. This version has more of a country tone to it, but there is something more folk to this song. I think that is what makes this song so beautiful. The fact that is folk and has that warmth of perceived 1800s ranch homes. It has that warmth that comes with summer nights in the prairie, that beauty of the wide open space.
