Today I have some really fun music for you by the duo known as Two Worlds. This is a duo that is most definitely a fantastic and different underground kind of sound. Normally when people think about underground and lesser known music, their minds go immediately to rap and EDM and synth pop kinds of music. But what is really cool is that this song is not along those lines whatsoever. This song is full of pop, funk, and soul! It is summery and a feel-good song, the kind that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. I think one of the best ways to describe this song is to call it a happy-go-lucky song. It is an incredibly lush song, one that is full of different musical styles and genres. Both members of Two Worlds sing, and each one has a beautiful and incredible range. Today I have some music for you by a band that I haven't heard much of lately. The Cab was one of my favorite bands in high school, but somehow I started to drift away from them. But I recently started listening to them again and found this gem of a song. Today I wanted to explore a completely different realm of music, one that is often overlooked or never really seen at all. This song is a composition that was made by one of the greatest Indian composers I have had the privilege to hear. Many of you know A.R. Rahman as the man who brought you the score of Slumdog Millionaire. However, as someone who has grown up in the culture of Bollywood, A.R. Rahman is the composer who has brought about some of the most beautiful and unique sounds to both Indian, Eastern, and Western cultures. Now, before I reveal who this person is, I would like to point out how awesome it is that there are so many different talents that some of our favorite stars have, and how we often don't know about these hidden tricks. But this sexy serenade is done by none other than one of the most popular men on the screens, Matt Bomer. That's right ladies and gentleman, not only is this man a fantastic actor, but he is a damn good singer. I didn't actually know that this song was sung by him until I looked it up on Spotify. Today I have some wicked trap music for you. This song is originally by one of my favorite DJs of all time, Flume. But this trap remix is done by Sleepy Tom, another DJ who likes to hang out of the spotlight, but definitely, deserves to be out in the front. Sleepy Tom is an extremely talented DJ, with a handful of some of the sickest trap beats and melodies that I have heard. He has done a lot of work with other DJ's and does a fantastic job as a featured artist and remixing DJ. Now, what I like about this rendition, is that Sleepy Tom has taken one Flume's more chilled out songs and turned it into something that is ridiculously hype. It can definitely be a struggle to remix songs that have already been so masterfully produced, because DJs don't necessarily want to compromise what the song originally had. Today I have some music for you by a band that has been a little off my own personal radar. Sometimes you run across a band that you listened to in what seems like a past chapter, and their music allows you to reminisce. I wanted to go ahead and talk about a song by Blue October that did just that for me. I haven't heard this song by Blue October in such a long time, that when this shuffled into my music stream, I had to stop for a moment to just listen. This song definitely airs a little bit more on the somber rock side of things. Blue October is a band that is under appreciated in my opinion. Today I have a really smooth remix of a song that I was in love with for so long. We all know how incredible Frank Ocean is. I mean the man is a beautiful singer and knows how to create a record that really sticks. This song is one of Frank Ocean's most popular and is the song that really put him on the R&B map for us. However, Ryan Hemsworth has taken this song and turned it into a really nice chill-hop song. Ryan Hemsworth has no relation to the trio of Hemsworth brothers by the way. Thought I should probably clarify that from the get go! But anyway, Ryan Hemsworth is a DJ from Canada, and he tends to bring us some of the coolest and suavest electronic music this side of the world.
