Matt Bomer and J.Cole
Today I have some music for you from a rather unsuspecting artist. Now, before I reveal who this person is, I would like to point out how awesome it is that there are so many different talents that some of our favorite stars have, and how we often don't know about these hidden tricks. But this sexy serenade is done by none other than one of the most popular men on the screens, Matt Bomer. That's right ladies and gentleman, not only is this man a fantastic actor, but he is a damn good singer.
I didn't actually know that this song was sung by him until I looked it up on Spotify. Needless to say, I was pretty much mind blown. I had no idea that Matt Bomer could sing this well, and so seductively. Like I said, lots of little surprises here with this entertainment industry. But this song is not only well sung, but the production and instrumentation of it is absolutely phenomenal. This is meant to be a slow jam, the kind of song that is more about setting the mood and creating that kind of sensual and intimate atmosphere. And I have to say, the song does a really good job of that. This is an R&B song that makes the most of simpler percussion and piano melodies and smooth guitar work. Because this song uses very few instruments, we hear how it relies mostly on making the vocals ooze and flow through. This is what really sets that mood and gives the song a more dynamic sound. While the instrumental work is pretty much the same throughout the song, the song opens to just the instrumentals. It lets us get acquainted to the style of music that the song fits and then the vocals come in. We get a great chance to hear the precision with which they play, and how making the beats precise and crisp lets Matt Bomer's voice flow and explore throughout the song.
We also get to hear how they set the song up to have that cool and suave mood, which then plays so well into Matt Bomer's emerging vocals. There is a really great influence and balance between the vocals and the instruments, making this an atmospheric and ambient romantic song. What makes Matt Bomer's voice stand out so much (besides the fact that it is beautiful) is that he sings it with quite a bit of emotion and passion. We can really feel that he is singing every note, every word, with meaning. And because of that, he is able to make this one of the sexiest and seductive slow jams ever. Matt Bomer is just such an incredibly talented singer, and you can hear that talent by the way he effortlessly shifts into a falsetto, adds in some vocal breaks, and drips the song in longing. I am honestly just so entranced and blown away by how wonderfully seductive and smooth this song is. It's kind of left me at a loss for words.
Today's instrumental song is one of my favorite songs by the incredible J.Cole. Now this song has a little bit more going on instrumentally. This song is definitely a different kind of sexy, gravitating more towards an intense bass and dynamic sound. Now in this case, I want to make the distinction between a sexy song and a seductive one. The first song is definitely a seductive one. It is the kind of song that can put you in that mood, and it has a slower and greater expressiveness. This song on the other hand is more along the lines of sexy. It is the kind of song you can dance to, and has a very enticing sound but is not necessarily something that really seems like a mood setter. But either way, this song is a really catchy one and has this nice groove to it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
