Today I have some dance/house music. This song is by Kaskade, but is really interesting because it includes a rock group-Neon Trees. I thought the vocal tone matched so well with the beat and feel of the song. This song has the intensity of a rock group mixed with the energy of house music. It also has the deeper, more powerful bass to it which makes this song so much more brilliant! I think this song turned out so incredibly well! Today's instrumental song is by Benny Benassi. This song has the typical format of an electro/house song, but Benassi makes it unique by playing with different octaves and crescendos (that is my cello-playing knowledge coming through) I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

So today's song is by a band that has become more popular lately-The Script. I remember the first time I heard them was when their first album came out, and I absolutely fell in love with them. Choosing a song from their new album was really hard because they are all so incredible. Apparently this album has received mixed to negative reviews, but I would love to disagree with those critics. This album showcases every style The Script has tried, but it is also more soulful and inspiring. This song in particular has an upbeat sound with smooth, moving vocals and lyrics. Today I really wanted to post this song because I hear it almost every day, and when I ask people about this song, they often have no idea what I am talking about. This song is by hip hop/R&B artist, Miguel. I was reading about this song and it turns out that it was inspired by a dream he had...thats kind of brilliant! The vocals are really smooth and the song has contemporary rhythms that make it catchy and chill at the same time. Today's instrumental song of the day is pretty amazing! If you have nice speakers, turn the bass way up because this beat is sweet. The bass is deeper so the awesome piano work really sticks out. Today I was feeling some rock music today, so I present to you a song by the amazing band 30 Seconds to Mars. Not going to lie, the lead singer is pretty darn attractive...anyway, this song is from their new album This Is War. It is a mix of synth rock, metal, and some progressive rock. The lyrics are fantastic and the melodies are quite moving. Even if you don't like this song as much, I really hope you go check out the rest of the album because it kicks some serious ass! Today's instrumental piece is by the group God Is An Astronaut. This song has nothing to do with God or religion if that makes you uneasy. I love how this song starts calmly and then increases in intensity and focus as the song progresses. It kind of follows the way the first song becomes intense. Today we have some electronic/house music. I heard this song a few days and really, really like it! This is by Australian DJ, Tommy Trash. I had never heard of him before hearing this song, and he made a good impression! This is a remixed version of the song that includes The Aston Shuffle. I think this song has a good beat and good vocals. I would totally work out to this song...Today's instrumental song of the day is by Alesso. This song has harder drops and a futuristic sort of sound. The underlying beat is a good pulse that the song follows, with the other rhythms and melodies layering on top seamlessly. Today we have some swing danicng music! I couldn't find a video with the song only or just lyrics, so I am posting a scene from a movie that plays the song. You are going to have to skip some of the beginning, but the song is worth it! This song is by R&B artist Shawn Stockman. He is a member of the vocal group Boyz II Men. He has a very smooth voice and has a very energetic voice that fits swing music so well. This song really makes you want to get up and dance because of its 30s style sound and beat.Today's instrumental song of the day is by a group called Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. This song has a pepped energy and at times has the sound of Imagine Dragons blended with Florence and the Machine. But it is also a very unique style of music and the female vocals are very distinct.
