Jai Wolf and M83

Day 3 of new music starts off with Jai Wolf. This song was released less than seven days ago, and it hasn't taken long for this song to hit over 100,000 streams. Now I do have to say, this song is very reminiscent of Jai Wolf's previous works of art. There is a rich consistency in what Jai Wolf does and produces. Now normally, a lack of notable evolution would be interesting and almost a little sad to me. But the music that Jai Wolf creates is so beautiful and so perfect that I don't want anyone to dare touch it. Jai Wolf is so recognizable and has a signature sound which makes his sound unmistakable. There is a carefree and deep sense of freedom and hope. Jai Wolf's music has the ability to touch the soul in a way that is wholesome and moving and liberating and free. This song marks the first time Jai Wolf has written the lyrics to his own music. This song has a stunning vocal delivery provided by Mr. Gabriel, but the lyrical credit has to go to Jai Wolf. And these lyrics are so perfect for the huskier voice that Mr. Gabriel boasts. This song is a lovely downtempo and melodic piece with instrumentation that is out of this world. The stunning melodies and tranquil keyboard riffs and soothing vocals all come together to form the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more depth and substance to this song despite the fact that it is musically easier to write. The performance is what gives this song so much power. Jai Wolf continues to blend the lines between genres. Calling him an electronic artist doesn't do him much justice. Yes, he is in part an electronic artist, however, Jai Wolf includes a showcase of hip hop and 80's sounds and emotion. That mix of genres is such a wild combination because it unfolds into this smooth and gorgeous stanza. The hooks are so big and loving and full because of Mr. Gabriel. His voice is so perfect for this song and I cannot get over it! That grittier kind of sound is so perfect with the melody and smooth instrumentation in the background. Jai Wolf is such a rare producer to meet. His music is always something different, and there is always that rare and exceptional sound which makes me so drawn to him. Today's instrumental song comes from another band which I think is just as good as the tower videos. This is a band that has very similar musical styles, however, takes the music to an entire orchestra and band level stage. I think it is pretty cool though. M83 has done so many different things with their music and have explored a lot of avenues. Seems like they keep coming back here and I am glad they do.
