Jai Wolf and M83

Today I have some music for you by an artist that I have been absolutely in love with for a while. Jai Wolf is one of the most well known underground artists when it comes to EDM and electronic music. Jai Wolf's style is one that I really enjoy and find super fulfilling. Jai Wolf has this very unique chilled out but inspiring kind of sound. It is kind of like what M83 would sound like if they got thrown into a chillstep mix. So basically, Jai Wolf has this ability to create completely transcendent and soul provoking music. This song in particular is one of my favorites by him. It is like feeling the depths of the ocean, the feeling of soaring through an endless sky, the feeling of being completely lost in the trance of music. This is the kind of song you listen to with your eyes closed, taking in the night sky and the freedom of ocean waves and the brilliance of the sun. This is a song that is so many different things, but the same feeling of being weightless and limitless. This is a song that can leave you with goosebumps, the kind of song that makes you feel chills all over because of how strangely raw the song is. What starts out as a rather atmospheric and brooding song, turns into this explosive and shimmering cinematic masterpiece. This is the kind of song that you listen to when taking long night drives down the highway, when you are trying to feel like you are really alive. And that cinematic romance is what makes this song something that we are drawn to and cannot let go. This is a song that is both vulnerable and anthemic. This song has such strong melodies, punctuated with soaring synths and a hard hitting percussion beat as well as subtle bass lines. The vocals in this song are provided by The Chain Gang of 1974. This is a vocalist who has definitely spent his time in the underground. But his vulnerable and painfully soulful vocals make this song an ethereal escape. The Chain Gang of 1974 helps make this a song that is powerful and inspiring and honestly, pretty epic. The vocals provided keep the song a little bit more grounded, giving it a wonderfully human and chilled out vibe. This is a song that will make the replay button tired because that is how many times you will be hitting it. This upbeat but chilled out vibe is one that is perfect for listening incessantly. Jai Wolf's creativity has gotten him to compose and create such exquisite pieces,and that has been so lovely to hear and be able to see happen. Today's instrumental song is by a group that Jai Wolf would fit so well into- M83. I simply had to post one of their songs because of how similar but different their styles are. M83 has always been more cinema focused, and that is still the best part. This piece in particular definitely has the cinematic vibe to it, the specialty of M83. I just cannot get over how beautifully intertwined the two artists are with out even knowing we lived down the street.
