Shift K3Y and Calvin Harris

Today I have some really cool music for you by the English DJ who goes by the stage name Shift K3Y. This is the first song I heard by him, and I loved it! This is a song that has such a groovy vibe, but a really tasteful one. It is a nice bubbly, and lively, lush, and vibrant song, one that can get everyone on the dance floor. There is this really nice dash of pop music in the song as well, something that is so perfectly balanced and smooth to listen to. I have to say, this song has a very UK garage feel to it, a sound that is deeply unheard of hear in the US. A travesty for sure, but this is the kind of song that everyone wishes got played at the club. There is this wonderfully brilliant throwback jam, channeling the 80s with that funky synth work. And Shift K3Y really knows how to make this song a modern twist, throwing a lot of house into the song. And the vocals fit perfectly with that vibe. BB Diamond adds this sultry vibe to the song, which is actually really cool. Pretty different for a song and style like this. The beginning is kind of cool because it has this weird off beat thing going on for it. And then the main beat drops away for a spell, allowing the vocals to make their way through to the forefront. But this whole song has this really cool runway kind of feel to it. BB Diamond has such great voice for this because it has a slight hint of funk to it. She has the ability to go between deeper vocals to higher ones, something that adds a lot of dimension and depth to the song. THis is a song that is constantly moving, constantly driving forward. There isn't a beat out of place, an off rhythm. Everything is precisely placed in the song so that there can be dynaism in the song, without losing the vibe Shit K3Y is going for. This is a producer who is on the rise, and for good reason. This song is pretty amazing, and I was jamming to this pretty much all day. It has this feel good vibe to it, while also being a tune that doesn't let you still. Today's instrumental song is by Calvin Harris. This is another song that I have had stuck in my head for a while as well. I am such a huge fan of this song because it is so unlike what we hear from Calvin Harris on the radio. To be fair, this is a radio song, which is why it has a more revolutionary kind of sound and feel to it. It lacks the bright and bubbly sound of pop songs, but has this deeper and more house sound to it. And who doesn't love some house? I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
