Adam Lambert and Martin Solveig
Today I have some music for you by a wonderful but somewhat under appreciated solo artist. Adam Lambert may not have won American Idol, but he has won over the ears of such a huge audience. But the sad thing, is that he is not as well known as he should be, given how great his talent is. It is kind of funny when I talk to people about Adam Lambert's music, because most of them have no idea what his music sounds like. But Adam Lambert has a voice that is almost angelic and full of so many hidden possibilities. He sings with so much conviction, no matter what kind of song he is singing. Whether it is a ballad, or a hype song, or a pop song, Adam Lambert will sing his heart out and look fabulous while doing so. But what makes this song even better, is that it has so much meaning. These are not empty lyrics, but ones that tell stories. The general story though, is the pain and sadness that can be found in the large city. How not everything is full of glitz and glamour. Adam Lambert just delivers this message in an extremely entertaining way, one that is a great mix between being a little bit vulnerable and having a great synth sound. A lot of the music in this song is produced by programmable sounds. Record producing has definitely changed over time, and being able to program certain sounds so that they fit into the song is pretty cool. This song also has bass, keyboards, and percussion, with some nice vocals in the background. This song has the potential to be a bit of a dance anthem, and a remix would be even cooler! This song has a really good energy to it, which makes it something you would want to really feel and enjoy. Adam Lambert addresses this message of loneliness with grace and the lyrics are moving and sentimental. I just love how a song that has words and phrases and verses as beautiful and creative as that, has changed into a song that has supporting synthesizers and electronic work, something that you could dance to. Adam Lambert's voice is piercing and precise and captivating and refreshing. I am such a huge fan of when Adam Lambert decides to hit those ridiculously high notes, and he is able to reach them and even growl them out a bit. I absolutely adore this song and enjoy everything about it, from lyrics to instrumentals. And that is kind of the sad part. The fact that Adam Lambert has yet to reach the stardom from being on a vocal show, and that this bad is still considered underground and unknown. Adam Lambert is a massively talented artist, and I am so glad I agree to that! Today's instrumental song is by Martin Solveig. This is a DJ who defines the word "fun" and is not only a riot as a person, but knows how to work it in the DJ booth. Martin Solveig is a very talented musician as well, knowing exactly how to balance out all of those electronic sounds and being able to pull it together. Not easy, not hard, but a whole lot of entertainment and excitement and a little bit of adventure. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
