Jay Sean and Alicia Keys

Today I have some music for you by an English artist that I absolutely love. He is one of the biggest Indian singers out there right now, independent of the Bollywood scene. Jay Sean is one of the sexiest singers my ears have ever had the pleasure to hear. He has a smooth and soft and lovely voice. Jay Sean has the kind of voice that you could let wash over you and totally enjoy it. Honestly, the most accurate description of Jay Sean's voice is to compare him to The Weeknd. Jay Sean is actually the Indian version of The Weeknd. He has the smooth voice, the slow jam music, and the overall sex appeal. His voice is one that just makes you feel so good, whether he is singing in Hindi or English. This is a song that is good for driving around, jamming on your own, or in the bedroom. This is the kind of song that I could catch myself getting addicted to. The beat to this song has that perfect tempo for being a slower song to get down to. This is the kind of slow R&B beat that allows you to really get lost in the music. Jay Sean keeps it pretty simple with this song, not including too many other instrumental tracks in the back to detract from the main focus of this song. I do enjoy the subtle flute work that happens in the back. It is something unique and adds this rounder, more full, and beauty to the song. It also gives this song that slight Indian twist which is always a bonus. Jay Sean is an artist that is big in the Indian music world, but still pretty low key in general. I hope you guys check him out! Today's instrumental song is one of my absolute favorite songs by Alicia Keys. This song is one that really got to me because it is the most vulnerable we have ever seen Alicia Keys. Generally she doesn't sing about personal feelings the way she does in this song. This is another slower R&B and soul kind of song, but it is absolutely beautiful. You can really feel what she is feeling, the complete vulnerability of emotional nakedness.  It is never easy to be open and completely expose your emotions to the world. Having to bear yourself that way is so hard and uncomfortable, but in this song, Alicia Keys lets everything go. The music in this song is a darker kind of slow jam, but I think that sets you in a certain mood even more so. The piano melodies are what make this song even more emotional and give it more power. There is a raw emotional energy that is infused into this song, and the piano just makes it even ore prominent. The major changes in the chorus piano line just blew me away with how much they describe the depth of this song. Like I said, this is my favorite Alicia Keys song for a reason. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
