Cheat Codes and Bag Raiders

Today I have some music for you by a group know as Cheat Codes. This is a perfect song for your summer jams and bright days. This is the kind of song that won't allow you to feel down or low. True to it's name, Cheat Codes is the kind of group that wants you to get to the next level of life and happiness and just all around feel good times as soon as possible and as easily as possible. Which definitely explains why their music is so upbeat and fun and bubbly. This is a kind of shimmering synth pop type of sound, the kind that makes you really feel that joyful and playful nature run through your veins. This song has a huge hook and groovy twist that makes it something catchy and irresistible, and the pristine production of this song makes it something clean cut. This is definitely a song that likes to hang out on the border of synthpop and house music, but either way, it is the kind of song that you could remix to sway either way. The synthesized guitar and keyboards make it something a bit easier to make into a house song, and the energizing percussion and slightly staccato vocals make it something more along the lines of synthpop or even indie pop. What I love about this song is the inclusion of some tropical house sounds, those beachy and sunny kind of melodies and themes that we hear from different artists. There is also the use of the bongo in this song which of course makes me really happy because it adds a little bit of a quirkiness to the song that works incredibly well. With the main chorus lyrics, I think the musicality of the song fits very well with the message trying to be expressed. There is so much shine and bounce to this song that it makes you want to go on a long lasting escapade to a place where there is endless sunshine. Cheat Codes also sneakily threw in some chill trap that didn't register with me the first time I heard the song. But after a few listens you really do start to hear the elements of trap music, but it is so laid back that it doesn't feel like stereotypical house music. Cheat Codes has definitely produced a song that could be a wonderful summer anthem and an all around great song! Today's instrumental song is by Bag Raiders. I know this song in particular has been used in a few places, but it fits so well! It is a song that starts out kind of chill and bursts into something that is vivacious and intoxicating and dynamic. It is another kind of spring to summer anthem, and is a song that makes you feel so great.
