Parachute and City of Angels
Today I have some slower music for you by a band that I absolutely love. Parachute is a really special band in my heart. This is a band that has been able to really move me and make me really feel. There are a lot of songs out there that are able to make me feel moved and feel that deep emotion and passion and love and heartbreak, but Parachute is a band that consistently delivers songs like those to me. This song is one of my favorites because it has the energy of a rock song but the mellow and smooth vibe of a romantic song. This is indeed a romantic song, and it is one that I really enjoy. There are actually two versions of this song, one being more of a slow jam and something more acoustic. And there is this one. This one is the full band version and I kind of like this one better. This has all the elements of a slower band song but is coupled with the lyrics that only Parachute could write. One of the reasons I love Parachute is that they write lyrics that are so beautiful and loving and passionate and sincere. They don't talk about the sappy love stories that we hear from modern pop music. Parachute talks about everything that love brings and entails, the good and the bad. This song has those beautiful words sung in an almost bubbly way. I think that is just so perfect and this full band version has a little bit more of a driving energy. It doesn't lag and doesn't seem to drag and bring down the energy. This song changes the nature of the energy into something that is calm and pensive and gives you a sense of being grounded. Parachute is a band that can read and express the feelings I have. Maybe that is why I connect to their music so much. It is different for everyone, and some of you may not feel the same way. That just means that Parachute is not the band that speaks to you. Hopefully one of the songs I do post is one that connects to you, the way this song makes me feel. Today's instrumental song is from the movie City of Angels. I have never seen this movie but the soundtrack is so incredibly gorgeous and lovely. The orchestra is so passionate in their playing and you can hear that. You can hear them convey the emotions of the song and the strings are just stunning. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
