Breathe Carolina and Pryda

For today's song, I chose a very interesting sound. Breathe Carolina's sound is like electronic crunk met rock and collaborated. I love this song because the beat is bumping and makes feel like I can do fun, crazy, and a some reckless things. I love working out to this song also-it keeps me going even when I am feeling sore. This song takes on a heavier electronic sound than normal and the rock takes a bit of a backseat. But the cool thing is that there are still enough elements like the beat and melody that make it sound like it could belong to a rock song. Breathe Carolina took a really cool direction with this newer style and  I for one am a fan.Today's instrumental song is some electronica/house music. I heard this song a few days ago and I thought this would be perfect to put on. Pryda made a really catchy and exciting song! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a really cool one out of South Africa by the band Kongos. There are so many awesome things happening in this song. For example the first sounds you hear is this really sick accordion work, and yes, these guys made the accordion look even cooler than any other musician out there has. I love the way they use the accordion and the tone of it. And then you hit the chorus which has these really strong vocals and you get the feel from the multiple voices with these sweet guitar licks and such a loud presence with the electric guitar. This song just kicks some major ass! Today's song is by the Beastie Boys, and is one of my favorite songs by them. Zayn Malik and Interstellar

Today I wanted to give a shout out to an artist who is both very famous and very underground. Most people know him as Zayn Malik, that guy who was in One Direction but left the band. So a little background, Zayn Malik was one of the five members of the famous boy band, One Direction. His departure from the band was all over the news last year, and I wont' lie, I felt bad for him. Not because he left the band, but because of what that meant for him in the public eye. It marked him as a huge target for papparzi and press, and I just feel so bad for him because he had to live in that public eye for so long. Which is one of the reasons why he wanted to leave. To live his life more quietly. So that of course, is a consequence of his level of fame. But on the other hand, we have his more quiet and surprising side. Hello, hello! It has been quite a while since I last dropped a post on the blog. I want to go ahead and send a huge shout out to everyone who has been patient with me, and the more sporadic nature of my writing.
