Yellow Claw and Gent & Jawns

Today I have some trap music for you because why not? Sometimes you get in those fun moods when all you really want to listen to is some intense or really energetic music. Well, I can tell you that this music today is energetic, intense, wild, and all around sick. Both of these songs feature minimal lyrics and a lot of beats so bear with the music if you are keen on having lots of lyrics. This first song is by Yellow Claw, a trio out of Amsterdam. Yellow Claw always does a really good job of making music with R&B and rap beats and turning it into some sick electronic music. This song has a really heavy rap beat influence, but you can also clearly tell that it is trap. The entire progression of the song is so awesome because it starts out with just the repeated verse and then adds on the high hat beats, leading to a "drop of sorts." Honestly this one is just introducing the drums and bass. But then we build up and climax with a drop that is pretty darn good. It isn't the kind of drop that most people expect, but this is a perfect hip hop drop. When you listen to rap songs, this is the kind of drop they use and it really works for this song. The second build up is a little bit more trap oriented which is sick. The pattern of the son remains pretty consistent throughout, until we get to the end. The ending is really good because they slow the beat down, and if you are like me and were dancing along to the song, it forces you to really take it slow and maybe throw in some body rolls. Regardless, this song is pretty darn sick. Now the second song of the day is just sick as hell. This one is by Gent & Jawns and is wicked sweet. When you think trap music, this is what should come to mind because this is one of the best trap songs I have ever heard. This song takes that really intense and wickedly wild energy and goes crazy with it. I love the drop in this song because it isn't one of those hard drops, but the melody/beats that come after the drop are just so insane. Every build up, every climax, and every drop is perfect. This whole song oozes that insane and tense and badass vibe to it. You know what, badass is the most apt way to describe this song. It is kind of like when you have those movie fight scenes that are really crazy and they have some wild electronic music to accompany it. This is a song that could be used. Or you know, have the most brilliant choreography for this song. As someone who dances a lot and is on a team, this is a song I would definitely want to dance to. It is perfect for those sharp, hip hop dances and when you listen to this song you can't help but feel that badass nature run through your veins. This song makes me feel so strong and powerful and almost like my villain theme song. I would not mind if this song was my personal anthem.. But that is beside the point. Gent & Jawns really pulled together to make a kick ass song that makes me want to kick some ass. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
