Ariana Grande & Nathan Sykes and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I am so sorry about not posting last night! But I am back today with a song that will either break your heart or fill you with warmth. For me, every time I hear this song, I always imagine myself slow dancing with the man of my dreams. Ariana Grande is a girl who can sing. When you take her out of context of the pop songs that come out in which her voice is not being true to her capabilities, her voice is absolutely incredible. This song is so enchantingly beautiful because of the harmonizing and combination of Ariana Grande's voice and Nathan Sykes' voice. What I love about this song is that it has an extremely romantic feel to it, but it is romantic in the classiest way ever. Lately, songs like this are harder to find from artists other than Michael Buble and such, but this song blew me away. The first time I heard this song I had to stop what I was doing to listen to it. This song has a soft swing and jazz influence to it and uses the simplicity of using just a piano to give this song support. But these two singers together achieved something stunning. This song is one that all I really want to do is slow dance with my guy. It doesn't matter where we would go because this song has the ability to make you and your significant other feel like you are the only two people in the world. This song has been the one song I listened to all evening because it is just that enticing and pleasing to the ear. As a huge romantic, this song is one that really speaks to me. The lyrics are so sad and sweet at the same time. Oxymoron I know, but what is love other than complicated and simple at the same time? Ariana Grande makes great use of her voice in this song with the different harmonies she lays over the main melody. She also uses her whistle register of course, but it doesn't sound bad in this song at all. Nathan Sykes offers us something different. He gives us the upper male register and he traverses the entire scale for this song. His harmonies are perfectly beautiful and he brings a different kind of soul to the song. While Ariana Grande brings more of a swing soul to the song, Nathan Sykes brings us that slightly jazzy feel and also something that is extremely passionate. The piano in this song is also perfect. This kind of piano is what you could hear at extremely fancy hotels, but it is that slow jazz that you might also hear at a music club. The piano is what gives this song that extremely romantic sound to the song. The piano is what makes this song have a classy feel and it is also what makes this song well rounded. This is a song that I can and have listened to over and over again. It is just too beautiful to not indulge in. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. This movie is supposed to be absolutely heart breaking but one of the most phenomenal movies that Jim Carrey has ever starred in. This score is based on the piano which compliments the first song well. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
