Today I have a song by an artist out of Norway who has a sick mix of hard rock and sheer bad assery.  Ida Maria's song is just phenomenal! It has the heavy guitar work and persisting bass guitar along with a very edgy and grungy vocal sound. This is a song that I can imagine some of the older rock bands playing, a Ramones or Sex Pistols type thing. Today's instrumental song is from the Lone Ranger and was actually composed by Jack White. For anyone who doesn't know, he was the front man for The White Stripes. Jack White is one of the greatest guitarists and would fit the description of a brilliantly edgy musician. Today I have music for you by a band that goes by the name Clubfeet. This song has a really cool sound to it. When you feel like listening to indie style electronic music, this group is one that can satiate your desire, and do it with mad style. Clubfeet is a group which has such a smooth sound to it but the band falls on that psychedelic side of music as well. This song is one that is hard for me to describe because it sounds very familiar in the tonality and melodies but also sounds very original. The track has that independent and unique vibe and sounds that no one else can copy. I am a huge fan of the way the vocals are presented because it is done so with layers. It is never just one voice and one sound you hear from the vocals, but many harmonies and different ways of singing the same lines. Today I have an interesting mix of genres. Today's instrumental song is by an awesome duo from Sweden, Icona Pop. It is rare to find female DJ's and electro groups, but here is one that has great beats! This song is really catchy and its something that you could be caught dancing to in your room. I think Icona Pop is really pushing more into the music scene, and I hope they begin to be noticed more! Today's instrumental song is by the gods of French house and house in general-Daft Punk.
