Kygo and Trey Songz

Today I have some positively amazing music by two of artists that I have been unable to get enough of lately. The Weeknd is of course one of the biggest names in the R&B world, and rightly so! His music is the best kind of seductive and sensual music and his voice is silky smooth and suave. The thing about The Weeknd is that the sultriness of his voice is enough to mask some of the really dirty lyrics he tends to have. But let us be totally honest, a voice like his is enough to set the mood. There are a lot of different ways sensual music can come forth. Sometimes it can be that slow jazz or those really nice slow jams. But with The Weeknd, we get a much darker sound, something that has a primal undertone. With The Weeknd, we get the black and white and grey scale kind of outlook, that kind of dark and intense sound and feeling. I absolutely love that! I think it is so unique to his style of singing and producing, especially given the fact that The Weeknd has a beautiful voice. Now...

David Guetta & Nicki Minaj and Cobra Starship

Hello fellow music listeners! I know my presence online has been a bit shoddy this week. However, I do have good reasoning, that being the fact that I moved this week. And with that move came a lot of working and lack of access to my computer. But here we are back at it again! Today I have music for you by the awesome David Guetta. We haven't seen much from him lately and he has stayed out of the spotlight of the music world for some time. However, it is always nice when you hear those songs that incredible artists create and they end up being older, more underground work. This song is one of those and I love how much it works as both an EDM song and a hip hop song. This one features a collaboration with one of the biggest artists-Nicki Minaj. I am a huge fan of Nicki Minaj. Some people may find her overrated or too mainstream, but there is no way they can deny her talent. Nicki Minaj is the kind of artist who lets the world know how versatile and creative she is. Her lyrics are ac...

Maor Levi and Tiesto

Today is all about that electronic music. This first song is by a small artist called Maor Levi. This artist is really great and has awesome drops. The timing is absolutely perfect and its not all hard style. He mixes it up so that it stays within the general vicinity of a genre, but really pushes the boundaries. I freaking love it! This song is bumping and has a great sound to dance and hang out to. Today's instrumental song is a remix done by Tiesto of one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever! I was absolutely awe struck when  I heard this and was completely mind blown. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Wild Cub and The Road To El Dorado

Today's song is an energetic and pumping song by Wild Club. This song has the energy felt in a lot of happy indie songs, but one of the cool things about this song is how they use the bells as the underlying melody and bass. This song is also so complete without having that super climax moment that people akin to a drop. It still maintains a good feel and great sound. This sound is pretty captivating and even contains the beat to bob and sway to. Today's instrumental song is from the animated move, The Road to El Dorado. I thought this movie was awesome when I was younger. I still do...anyway, this song has a feeling of adventure and this tropical nature which is pretty cool! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Local Natives and Loreena McKennitt

Today's song is by an indie rock group called Local Natives. They used to be called Cavil at Rest, so if that sounds familiar then you know this band! If not, this band has a nice mellow sound and this song in particular has a beautiful sound to it. They use the instruments incredibly well, with a balanced tone and a perfectly synced off beat drum beat. This is generally the kind of music that comes to mind when thinking about indie rock, and I think that Local Natives is the perfect sound to introduce indie rock to people. Local Natives doesn't stray too far from a more mainstreamed kind of indie sound, but they also deviate enough from what generalized rock or pop would sound like. Local Natives is the kind of band that takes you by surprise in a way. When their music comes on, it sticks out in a way so that you notice that you are hearing something you enjoy. They make the kind of music that pulls you out of the day to day mundane nature of activities. Today's instrument...

Felix Cartal and Wolfgang Gartner

Today I have music for you by the DJ known as Felix Cartal. I love the way this song sounds because it has a really good beat and the hook melody is extremely catchy. The drops are on point and the rhythm is one that you can have fun with, dancing or just kind of going crazy. I think these vocals are actually perfect for this song and I love how there is a point when they throw the beat down on a piano. I absolutely love the buildups in this song. They are long enough to create intensity but too long to where you get bored of it. This is a very well put together song in my opinion. Today's instrumental song is by the talented Wolfgang Gartner. This song is pretty interesting because it has a pretty intense feel to it. It almost sounds like something that would be used in a fight scene, and when I say this for some reason my mind automatically goes to Teen Wolf....Anyway, I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Jay Park and Stevie Wonder

Hey music family, it has been quite a long time since I have posted any music from around the world. So today I decided to go with a song that is not only really good, but extremely catchy. This is the kind of song that you won't be able to get out of your head and it is definitely the kind of song you don't want out of your head. Jay Park is honestly one of the biggest Korean heartthrobs. He can sing, dance, and rap, not to mention he is quite a spectacular looking man. Jay Park's music is absolutely amazing because each song has a certain kind of theme associated with it. This song has this Michael Jackson kind of vibe to it, something a little bit groovy while still being a good song to break out into some hip hop. What I also really like about this song is the flawless and seamless integration of Korean and English. A lot of times we get songs that are a mix of English and another language, but they don't always flow smoothly. But Jay Park knows how to work his way ...
