David Guetta & Nicki Minaj and Cobra Starship

Hello fellow music listeners! I know my presence online has been a bit shoddy this week. However, I do have good reasoning, that being the fact that I moved this week. And with that move came a lot of working and lack of access to my computer. But here we are back at it again! Today I have music for you by the awesome David Guetta. We haven't seen much from him lately and he has stayed out of the spotlight of the music world for some time. However, it is always nice when you hear those songs that incredible artists create and they end up being older, more underground work. This song is one of those and I love how much it works as both an EDM song and a hip hop song. This one features a collaboration with one of the biggest artists-Nicki Minaj. I am a huge fan of Nicki Minaj. Some people may find her overrated or too mainstream, but there is no way they can deny her talent. Nicki Minaj is the kind of artist who lets the world know how versatile and creative she is. Her lyrics are actually pretty sick when you take the time to really understand what she is trying to say, and her capability as someone fierce and strong is so evident. With this song, we get a side of Nicki Minaj that is fun and fierce, something that makes her even more badass. I am very impressed with the overall production of this song as well. David Guetta starts out this song with something more gospel and weaves it in so well with the programmed melody in the background. The chorus almost reminds me of a sound that you would hear in the commercial for a dramatic television show. It is something that describes the intensity of a prime time show. But David Guetta also gets this song to be something that you can get down to while also feeling so empowered by the way the song itself sounds. I am absolutely in love with the way the chorus sounds in conjunction with the electronic background. It is an amazing combination of that R&B kind of sound and the electronic sound of David Guetta. That is one of the key characteristics of David Guetta's music that makes him stand out from a lot of other electronic musicians. He is the kind of artist that really knows how to blend different styles and make each of the respected styles stand out while still being a piece of the entire song. In this song you can clearly hear the respective electronic and R&B parts, but at the same time, you hear the blend overall. It is pretty amazing what this guy can do! Today's instrumental song is by the band Cobra Starship. It has been a very long time since I have heard anything new by them, but I still love listening to their old music. This song is one of my favorites by them because it has this great energy to it and is so much fun to have on the dance floor. It really is amazing what a song can turn into once you feel the groove and know you can dance to it. Cobra Starship is the kind of group that likes combining instruments and electronic synth work together. With this song we definitely get some guitar mixed with those synth melodies which is pretty darn cool! All in all, this song is just so much fun to listen to!
